Zoran Todorovich: A Biography
Zoran Todorovich is a German opera singer of Serbian descent, known for his lyrical tenor voice. He was born in Belgrade, Serbia, when it was still part of Yugoslavia. Todorovich began his musical studies at the Belgrade Conservatoire, where he studied piano and vocal performance. He later completed his education at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts, graduating with honors.
Todorovich's career began at the Landetheater Detmold in Munich, where he made his debut in the role of the Duke in "Rigoletto" at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville. This performance caught the attention of key European theaters, leading to invitations to perform in Madrid, Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg, Brussels, Nice, and Tokyo. In , Todorovich sang his first Wagnerian role, the title role in Lohengrin, to great acclaim at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo.
In , he added a new Wagnerian and a new Verdi roles to his repertoire, appearing as Radames in Aida in Marseille and as Parsifal for the Flemish Opera.
In the /17 season, Todorovich made his successful stage debut as the title role in a new production of Otello at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, where he later performed as Calaf in Turandot.
