Mrigdeep Singh Lamba
Biography:
Filmmaker Singh Lamba rose to fame with the movie &#;Fukrey,&#; which starred him. The movie was a sleeper smash, and because of its box office success, its producers planned to make a sequel, which may debut in The sequel&#;s filming will probably start in Delhi in August However, it is impossible to tell if the sequel will be released or not. &#;Fukrey&#; was a movie that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani produced. Mrighdeep wrote the screenplay for the movie along with Vipul Vig, who wrote the story. Due to its sarcastic theme, the picture, which was entirely comedic, gained popularity with viewers gradually.
Following the commercial success of &#;Fukrey,&#; Mrighdeep was working on two or three other projects, each of which was set to be a serious comedy movie. The director believed he could even try to make a humorous movie. All of those narratives were still in their conceptual infancy, and Farhan Akhtar Excel Entertainment was going to be the film&#;s producer. Biography
An alumnus of the Asian Academy of Film & TV (AAFT), Mrigdeep Singh Lamba made his directorial debut in with the movie Teen Thay Bhai. Despite having a promising star cast of Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade, and Deepak Dobriyal the movie failed at the box office.
In , he wrote and directed the comedy film Fukrey, which became a sleeper hit and received positive criticism and commercial reviews. Mrigdeep, along with co-writer Vipul Vig, was nominated for the Screen Awards for Best Screenplay.
In , he directed the movie sequel, titled Fukrey Returns. In , he produced the comedy-horror film Roohi, which stars Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles.

Set in Delhi, Fukrey chronicled the story of four friends who come together to make easy money.

In an interview with PTI in May, Mrigdeep Singh Lamba had said he was toying with the idea of touching upon the COVID pandemic in Fukrey 3.
