“If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough. So go big,” Dakota Gonzalez says with a big smile.
Her twin sister, Dylan, is sitting right next to her at Sunset Park in Las Vegas, laughing along. But don’t get it twisted—the Gonzalez twins are dead serious about making the WNBA.
“Go super, super big,” Dakota continues.
Big, as in trying to make it onto a WNBA roster after not hooping competitively for over a year. Big, as in proving countless internet haters wrong. Big, as in fulfilling a journey, through multiple states and two colleges, that’s taken an entire lifetime of work.
And they know it’s going to be tough, especially after not playing for a minute, when they chose to pursue their music career instead.
“We put the ball down, but we never really put the ball down,” Dylan says.
They’ve been in the gym and on the court the entire time, working on strength and conditioning and skill level. And now they’re ready to go after their dream of playing in the W.

Dylan and Dakota Jordan Gonzalez were born on December 9, in Overland Park, Kansas, the twin daughters of David and Angela Gonzalez.[3] Angela had a son, Conor Rauselbach, from her first marriage, and David had two children, Natalia and Javier, from his first marriage.[4] Angela was also former All-American honorable mention basketball selection for Kansas in , before moving to play professional basketball in Germany later on.[2] The family later moved from Kansas to Colorado in ,[5] where they had two more children, Stefan and Gabriella "Gaby",[4][3] and where the twins later sta
Basketball fans who enjoyed watching Dakota and Dylan Gonzalez hoop it up at the at the Thomas &#; Mack Center in years past, had to look elsewhere their senior season to catch the pulchritudinous pair in action. The Gonzalez Twins decided to leave the UNLV Lady Rebels hoops team — and, by extension, the NCAA&#;s restrictive rules — to pursue their professional singing aspirations.
The sisters released their debut EP Take 1 under the name IIGonz. The singing duo is now hard at work on music videos to accompany their smooth-playing tracks.
While waiting for the music videos to drop, you can still admire the twins&#; artistic stylings on Instagram, where the sisters enjoy a massive following which includes the likes of Drake.

The Gonzalez Twins have proven to be multi-talented individuals, but what they were originally known for was basketball as they were All-American HS basketball players who initially started at Kansas before ending up at UNLV.
They left school early after the NCAA was starting to poke around their off the court activities, but both have graduated and now looking to join the WNBA.
Dylan & Dakota were both stars at UNLV &#; and even Drake came to their games to show the love. But, they left school early to pursue music careers, mainly because of NCAA made it tough for them to play and release songs.
But, now sources tell TMZ Sports the IG superstars (over 1 million followers each) have decided to jump back into basketball, training full-time to knock the rust off and get back into form.
We&#;re told they even have a team in mind &#; hoping to get roster spots on the WNBA&#;s Las Vegas Aces by the time the season tips off next May.
Dylan is currently dating Pats Josh Gordon.
