OSSARIO
In Ossario, Alexandre Orion developed a striking urban intervention where he uses fabric scraps to clean the soot from the walls of São Paulo's tunnels. At this nocturnal intervention, Orion selectively removes layers of pollution left by passing cars, revealing thousands of skulls on the surfaces. The Ossario video has been viewed by more than 4 million people in exhibitions and screenings worldwide.
POLLUTION ON CANVAS
In this series of works, Alexandre Orion uses soot collected during his Ossario intervention as a pigment. The soot is mixed with a clear, colorless acrylic base, creating a range of grey tones. As the artist applies it to large-scale murals and canvases, he creates realistic images.
